NSW Battery Incentive for Businesses
The NSW incentive is a certificate scheme administered under the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme. Accredited Certificate Providers create Peak Reduction Certificates for eligible installations, and that value is passed through to reduce your upfront cost.
What you need to know
- Value depends on the certificate calculation and market value at the time
- Eligibility depends on building type, battery size and technical requirements
- All three BESS activities commence 1 September 2026
