200 kWh Battery NSW
200 kWh is the boundary between BESS4 and BESS5. Systems up to and including 200 kWh fall under BESS4; anything above sits in BESS5, which carries extra technical requirements.
What you need to know
- Typical fit: mid-size warehouses, medical centres, food production
- Commonly paired with 100–200 kW of rooftop solar
- Sizing at the boundary can change your incentive pathway
